I shot this at Kabini, i kept quite a lot of distance to aviod any disturbance hence quality is average.

The composition works here. A bit more space at the bottom would have been better. Wish you could have avoided the Out of Focus branch on the left...

I agree Bibhav, i did leave lot of space at the bottom in original picture, however there is another peocock in the frame hence croped it, do you think i should retain the original. As regards avioding those branches it was difficult at that moment.

In that case, Cropping out the second peacock is a better option, as that would have been a distracting factor in the image.

It is not always possible to avoid distractions. Especially the peacock displays, it appears better when it is in a relatively clear place. Not always possible. The important thing is to wait for it to move to an area where the background will come better. However, most of the time we are unable to do so. Especially, in Kabini, when there are more tourists with you in the vehicle, it is not possible to wait. Also, I dislike the high photographing angle in Kabini.

A narrow aperture like f8 would have helped. However, that would have brought down the shutter speed to 1/200.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Nice image. Liked the angle. The raised feet shows the dancing movement. could you get any photographs with it turned towards you?
