Egyptian Vulture environmental portrait

I was trying for an environmental portrait of this Egyptian Vulture Neophron percnopterus. I briefly thought of including space at the bottom but that meant less space at the top.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm F2.8 L IS USM, EF 2xII, ISO 400, f8, 1/250, full frame image.

A paper in Nature journal describes that the Egyptian vultures engage in Coprophagy (eating faeces) of ungulate faeces. It says that the brightly ornamental head is coloured yellow by carotenoid pigments, and its practice of feeding on faeces. I like the bird (but of course)... the shrub on the left balances the image well... I would have liked a wee bit more space on the right. But I understand your thoughts in this composition... Thanks for the info... :)

Nice composition. Liked the low angle. Good eye contact. As you have mentioned about the space restrictions, would have liked a wee bit more space at the bottom. Thanks for the information.
