I was trying for an environmental portrait of this Egyptian Vulture Neophron percnopterus. I briefly thought of including space at the bottom but that meant less space at the top.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm F2.8 L IS USM, EF 2xII, ISO 400, f8, 1/250, full frame image.

Look forward to your comments and critiques.

A paper in Nature journal describes that the Egyptian vultures engage in Coprophagy (eating faeces) of ungulate faeces. I like the bird (but of course)... the shrub on the left balances the image well... I would have liked a wee bit more space on the right. But I understand your thoughts in this composition... Thanks for the info... :)

Nice composition. Liked the low angle. Good eye contact. As you have mentioned about the space restrictions, would have liked a wee bit more space at the bottom. Thanks for the information.
