Matkasur on his Terrirorial round

There was a line of vehicles but as he was moving along the forest line weaving purposefully marking his territory I managed a few shots . The sunlight was strong and as the tiger was moving between patches of sunlight and shade , getting a decent shot was a difficult proposition .Nikon D750 +70-200, ISO 200 ,1/800s F/3.5 late morning .

Nice to see Matkasur again!Very famous Tiger,and no amount of shots would satisfy a photographer.I think it was tough conditions for photograpy.

Huge male, surveying his territory. Agree the lighting conditions were difficult. The inclusion of the habitat adds to the composition. Good you got him looking towards you. Thanks for sharing.

The tiger had just moved into shade when you clicked. The autofocus of the camera locked into the high contrast areas. So the critical focus is not on the tiger. In such conditions better to gently twist the focus a bit with your left hand fingers so that the AF gets some help. A narrow aperture like f8 would have been great here. Thanks for sharing.
