Thanks Mrudul, actually both dhole and deer were all over the place as it was a long chase, the water body too was huge probably the largest one in Bandipur forest it is called Kavare Katte. During this shot the dhole was a bit distracted by human presence( one side it was my safari vehicle and other side it was Mr.Senani probably shooting the sequel of his famous "Wild Dog Diaries" documentary) and also with group of 4-5 samabar deers who were at the other side. The deer had almost made an escape by swimming back to the bank, but luck was not its favor, the dholes had already made an excellent ambush by covering up the whole water body. With no options left the deer jumped back into the water. I have attached the pciture of the same...

One knows the reason why the deer is running with its tail up and the spray of water trailing behind. The image is tilted. It needs a bit of clockwise rotation. It would have been great if a dhole could have been seen in the background. Do you have one image clicked at the wide angle end? Enjoying this natural history moment.

Cheers,

Lovely sequence of events... Do you have an image with the dhole in the background?

Nice action captured. Its great that you could witness and photograph the whole action. The jump is nicely freezed with the water splashing. Agree about straightening the horizon.
