ID: Spitting spider with mantis catch

Spotted this interesting sight of the spitting spider feeding on the, pretty good sized, mantis. The whole chapter of this encounter was really interesting as by the time we first spotted it, the predator had just about killed the mantis, but by the time we could complete the shoot of the encounter (couple of colleagues’ shoot and few experimentation with framing), the spider had liquefied the internals of the prey and almost deflated the abdomen of the mantis, making it almost flat, slurping through the morning catch.

So the spider kills and sucks out its prey. That's very interesting. Does it eat the remains of the body? Good details on the spider. Thanks for sharing.

Nice catch. If flash output can be toned down a bit then it will be nice. Thanks for sharing.
