Tigress from Pench

It was a warm afternoon in Khursapur in Pench .We had no expectation of seeing anything but as always the jungle always surprises .Popularly known as Baras this tigress suddenly crossed ahead and disappeared into the forest on our left .We backtracked and holed up near a waterhole where she would hopefully emerge . She made us wait for a good half an hour before she finally emerged to quench her thirst and take a cooling dip .Nikon 850+200-500 .1/500 ,F/7.1 ,ISO 500 .Feb 2020
