Tiger Crossing!

This tiger was frolicking around a lake at Tadoba and decided to move from sight.The safari cars were quick into action and came to the tarred road expecting the Tiger to come over there.The Tiger did come there and then crossed the road and disappeared.

It is always great to see a tiger emerge when one is anxiously waiting for it from a point of vantage .The crowding of Gypsies becomes a huge disadvantage as no body manages a good shot and the tiger more often than not wants to make itself scarce as soon as possible .I think less of foreground would make the composition more effective. Thanks for sharing

Beautiful shiny coat. Its good that you didn't get any jeeps directly behind the tiger (or managed to avoid them) in the frame. Agree with Shyamalaji, lesser space in the foreground (including more of the trees in the back) would help to get the tiger in more focus (as per the rule of thirds). Nice capture. I fully agree. Unfortunately the forest department chases revenue so it allows many jeeps and overcrowding is the result. If you ask the forest department they will say that they are following the NTCA guidelines. Unfortunately, the tourism guidelines were drafted by an intern who did some mathematics and wrote down the minimum distance between jeeps as if the vehicles will travel in a procession. When you treat a jungle like a enclose safari in a zoo, the results become way different. Sadly there is currently no way we can avoid tourists in some of these premier parks.
