The elephants in bandipur easily get disturbed. In the Moyar valley (masinagudi area) the population has increased a lot and there is lot of disturbance from people as well as traffic. Workers were initially brought in for the dam construction and they stayed back. Now it has become a big township.

Some tourist vehicles earlier used to knowingly disturb them for getting shots of mock charge.
