Black-headed Ibis with snake

Happy World Environment Day to all :).

Two Black-headed Ibis fighting, as one tries to snatch the snake from the other in Chilika. The snake can be seen curled up over the beak of the Ibis. It was quite tough for the bird, to hold the snake and fly off without dropping it or getting it snatched by other birds.

This is a lovely one. Two birds fighting for the same prey is a rare sight. The image has come out well with nice eye contact with both the birds and action. Will visit Chilika later in winter again.
