ID: Moth caterpillar feasting on flower

Spotted by my colleague, off the trail, this beauty was seen feasting on the beautiful flower. All engulfed in the middle of the flower, the beauty seemed to keep on gobble onto the precious meal, an essential bit of its life cycle to consume enough to grow big and charged up for the long metamorphosis process, eventually turning into an even more beautiful angel.

Great find. The stamen are focused and along with it the head of the fellow is in focus. Depth of field at such close distances are less, so it doesn't cover the body. Since the body portion is bigger and covers more space, it would have been better to narrow down the aperture a bit. However, that would mean a tradeoff with your shutter speed. Assuming you don't want to increase the ISO. Personally I prefer details and noise as secondary. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely pattern created by the white stamens. The moth stands out against them. Since its body has some nice colours and patterns on them having more details on it would also have looked good. Loved the composition. Thanks for sharing.
