A group of Nilgiri Tahrs!

This is from my archives.....we saw these group of Nilgiri Tahrs by the side of the road at Eravikulam NP Munnar.They were not caring for the presence of large no of humans very close to them!

Nice to see them grazing peacefully. The lighting is difficult. Wish they were facing towards the light. Thanks for sharing.

They look like our city goats and cows, peacefully grazing by the roadside. I hope they have not gotten used to eating rubbish left by humans such as stale food and paper. Light does seem pretty harsh. Thanks for sharing.

These days such a sighting is tough. Agree that this looks mid day harsh light. Also the shadow side of their faces are towards you, so that also increases the feeling. Moving to an area where Sun is behind your shoulders and choosing the frame to exclude dark areas would make the image better. The dynamic range of our cameras are improving, however they are not yet there to handle complete darks and bright sunlight in the same frame. Thanks for sharing.
