Gavi is a great place to spot birds as it falls within the Periyar Tiger Reserve.The typical shola-grasslands of the Western Ghats is paradise for many species of birds.

Lovely composition. The side profile works well for this bird and more so when the crest also can be seen. The yellow eyes are striking. Thanks for sharing.

Nice pose. The bark has come out well. Light seems pretty low. The high ISO along with cropping has made the noise prominent. Just a decade ago this kind of noise was seen in much lower ISOs. Did you click from your car? Thanks for sharing.

Nice image. Nice eye contact. This raptor gives us time as it is immersed in thought. Last Jan 2020, we came across mainly dark morph CSEs in Sundarban.
