Nikon D850+200-500 ISO,320 , 1/500s F/8 , FL200mm . This was how we first came upon the mating pair . We had entered Tadoba from the Zari Gate which is one of the more remote zones of the Tadoba Moharli range. The male was not familiar to the naturalist and the driver though the female did belong to that range . Later another naturalist said that it was a tiger called Ghanshyam .

Nice to see the pair relaxing in the shade. The female looks shy :). Were there lot of tourists in Tadoba this time? Thanks for sharing.

Only 2 vehicles are allowed from Zari gate .A single vehicle is allowed from Pangdi gate which also comes into the same area .So in all there are only 3 vehicles .This was one reason we tried this zone . There is no crowding unlike the Moharli zone .But the drivers and naturalist here are quite raw .

This is a great sighting. With less vehicles it is always a silent and pleasurable experience. How long were you able to see them? Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Beautiful image. It is always exciting to sight these majestic kings of the forest. Nice to know that only 3 vehicles are allowed inside the forest unlike moharli, where vehicles even bump into each other trying to sight the tiger. Thanks for sharing.

This tiger has been identified as Shiva son of Wagdoh ,who roams the Kolsa range .
