This was pictured at Anaikatti as well
This bird was partly hidden behind a bush and was peeping out once in a while.

Nice capture, Coucal are always hard to photograph as there are too shy.
My guess is it could be a juvenile.

Nice image. It is sharp in the eye. The lower part of the bird is underexposed, you can try to recover the details. I dont think you can do that in Picasa, maybe you can ask Dad to show you in Photoshop. Some more space below would have been good.

I agree with the previous comments. Also, you need a little more space at the bottom as you cut one nail of the bird. Please check if you have got DPP (Digital Photo Professional). It would be in the CDs that came with the camera. If you have got it then we can tell you how to use it.

Nice sharp shot. Looks like the light was tricky... the underparts are underexposed, but the toes seem overexposed. Also agree with Sabyasachi's point abt more space at the bottom.

Nice eye contact.
Picasa has one option to increase "Shadow" in TUNING tab. It sometimes tends to loss details. Never to use it in natural photographs. I don't know, you have used it or not, its just a suggestion.
Dense leaves at background, adding to the photo. Keep it up.

Sharp image Vaishnavi...
Do try recovering the blacks if possible... I dont think that is much possible in picassa. Try Photoshop/Lightroom if you can get your hands on it...
