Hiding in the dream scape

One of the most beautiful dragonflies, these usually seem to have a favorite perch and prefer to stay on it or near it even if disturbed by any intruder. This on the contrary seemed to be hardly bothered by my approach, not sure if still asleep or waiting for the sun’s heat, allowing me to get the dreamy frame, thanks to the light glittering off the leaves of the mangrove area.

The background looks nice. The colours in the dragonfly wings and tail look great. Did you try moving to the other side and clicking. That would have given a clear view of the wings without the perch dissecting it. However, lighting would have obviously been different as you would have shot in frontal lighting, without perhaps the flash. Thanks for sharing.

Good colours and details in the wings and the tail. The clean background adds to the composition. Its good it gave you ample time to photograph, otherwise it can difficult to compose. Nice capture. Thanks for sharing.
