ID: Lacewing larvae

One of the most ferocious larvae in the insect world, the lacewing larvae is infamous for feasting on the prey and carrying the dead bodies of them, and other waste stuffs, onto their bodies, making them blend well in the dry foliage. Here is one instance where the larva was seen feasting on a freshly caught midge, probably later turning into the decoration on its back. Considered as biological control agents by few agriculturalists and gardeners, due to its capabilities to chomp onto innumerable aphids and other tiny pests, these are reared to protect the farms as well as gardens.

Its carrying such a big pile of waste on its back, such peculiar behaviour. Nice to see it with a catch. Good details. Thanks for sharing.

This is a great illustration of the wonders of the natural world. Each species is so different in their behaviour. If only we understand the behaviour of each species and the complex interrelationships then we can live more in sync with nature. Thanks for sharing.
