ID: Changeable lizard

Considering the current situation, and to break off the gloomy ambience, decided to explore the neighbouring areas, which is almost a derelict and, while looking out for interesting subjects, stumbled upon this tiny sized lizard. This cute little beauty seemed to have selected a stem of the random weeds that had grown in the abandoned area, probably all set to sleep off for the day. The location was so well selected that approach for the same was not easy be it for us or, probably, also for the predators. The tight grip, onto the stem, helped it blend into the plant, almost making it feel as if a part of the plant, from a distance

Good details in the head area and the eye. Can actually see your reflection in it :). The strong grip with both the limbs shows how it intends to be not disturbed. Lovely capture. Thanks for sharing.

The best way to appear inconspicuous is to sit tight and be one with the vegetation so that other predators as well as prey may not notice.

It appears that the lizard was not parallel to the focus plane and only a part of the body is in focus.

Thanks for sharing.
