Yellow throated Marten......Jim Corbett!

At Dhikala we were waiting for the Tigers to emerge and lo and behold.......we saw 2 Martens on a nearby tree!....before I could lift my camera they were gone!....but fortunately one of them descended on to the floor and gave some opportunity to shoot.....the quality of this pic is not that great as it is a big crop.

Canon 80D,Canon 100-400 IS II USM,f 6.3,1/6400,ISO 6400 at 400 mm (Big Crop).

Wonderful sighting .Wish the lighting was favorable for a memorable shot .This was indeed a one time opportunity to record a rare denizen of the north Indian forests .Thanks for sharing.

Glad you had this sighting. Many years ago, I had seen yellow throated martens in Bijrani range in Corbett. That was very early in the morning and I had only a short lens attached. By the time I took out my long lens from case, they had vanished.
