This was shot in Parambikulam WLS. The CHE was far, so could manage scapes only. It had a small bird kill in its talons and was feeding on it. Your takes please on this image...

Nice composition. Good perch.Nice surroundings, the patterns on the tree, the dense trees in the BG and the fog add to the composition. The hint of leaves at the bottom in the FG, is a bit distracting, you can possibly crop that.

It is not easy to get these shots right. And the second thing is it becomes difficult to appreciate environmental images at such a small size. We hardly get to see the details.

As far as composition is concerned, you are very nearly there. The tree branch on the right is cut at the bottom and then it again enters the frame at the top right. Also, Mrudul has mentioned the hint of leaves at the bottom of the frame. That doesn't help either.

These kind of scenes would look good from a high MP camera like a 5D Mark II or 1DS III.

Keep on experimenting. You will get a winner.
