I had forgotten to process these files from Bharatpur Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary.

EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM + EF 2x II ie. at 800mm focal length, full frame, ISO 400, f5.6, 1/80, mirror lock up, tripod.

Nice composition. The pose is beautiful... The eyes look nice and give an impression that it is scrutinizing the area... The plumage in the centre seems to be a bit out of focus. It is sharp at the edges and the eyes though...

There is not much contrast in the feathers in the centre. That creates an impression of softness. It was shot at f5.6, but the shallow depth of field still covers till the tail feathers but not beyond.

Nice eye contact. Liked the perch and the composition. The details on the branch are good.
