Lovely portrait of an animal that has become very rare in our forests.

Jackals were abundant even in the country sides, a decade ago. Now, they are no where to be found.

While there are people who atleast speak about conservation of larger mammals like elephants and tigers, creatures like jackal, Indian fox, striped hyena etc are all in a state of neglect.

The wave of bone collection (animal bones are used in several industries) have left hyenas and jackals in a state of despair. Leading either solitary lives or in pairs, these creatures starve to death as nothing is left for them to scavenge.

This is a masterpiece. The background complements the animal immensely. The pose is lovely too... The eyes look captivating... No nits here
