I came across this vulture in Bandhavgarh National Park. It was on the ground and unable to fly. Its first wing beats had gone awry. The guides and Gypsy drivers used to give water so that it can drink. I don't know how any carnivore could not find it. It was there for three days before the forest dept. officials took it away to release at a place frequented by vultures.

I felt the fall is a metaphor for the challenges this species is facing.
