Interesting insect...never seen it before. Do you have any other angles? It has 2 sets of wings (i.e. 4 wings), so it cant be a fly.

It is definitely a moth. The three flowers make interesting subjects. The moth here acts as a secondary subject adding to the primary subjects. the white stalk at the bottom centre is a bit distracting.

It is some type of swift. A butterfly. There are too many simillar looking swift species so difficult to give an exact id.
Though the wings are held open in the image , it is basking possition. They are generally held closed.
Also if you look at the antenae, they are hooked. Moths do not have clubed or hooked antenae.

I can't help in the id though I have seen these several times earlier. I think a crop from the bottom would enhance the original image.
