I took this photograph in Aiyur Reserve Forest which is also a critical habitat for Elephants. This forest is almost engulfed with these Giant Wood Spiders and one can spot them almost anywhere.

Aperture: f/5.0
ISO Speed: 200
Flash: Fired

Nice composition. A narrower aperture would have helped to get the legs in focus. The dark BG compliments the image. Thanks for sharing.

Nice image, agree abt the aperture. Lovely clean, dark BG.
Never seen giant wood spiders with the white colouration on the head. Maybe it's a different race from the ones here in Maharashtra...

Nice and sharp. More DOF would have helped. The fill flash ahs helped expose the body but the image still feels a bit dark. You can open the shadows a bit more. the dark BG looks good.
