Luckily it caught something in its beak and I was able to photograph that. Not sure whether it is the same caterpillar.
Canon 50D, 100-400mm L IS USM, f5.6, ISO 200, 1/320, hand held, full frame.

Wow... Looks like the same one in its mouth. A tad increase in contrast would help.

In MARATHI, people call this "HALDYA" i.e As it has color of HALDI means TAMRIND.
