This is again from my archive.

This dragonfly was a visitor to our garden. Had to chase for about 20 minutes before I could get this angle and just as I clicked ..it flapped its wings.

I do not know the name of this one and rely on you experts to help me out

Camera: Nikon D90 / Exposure: 0.01 sec (1/100) / Aperture: f/8.0
ISO Speed: 200

C&C welcome

Thanks
Anu

This is a common picture wing female.

I am not an expert but there is a wonderful ebook on dragonflies that is available for free download . It's one of the lifescapes series . it's a set of two books.

Dont know if it's ok to give a link here . Just google ' lifescapes dragonfly book '

Nice sharp image. DEtails are good too. You can post a larger image for critiquing... The composition is nice.

The details on the wings and colours are nice. The frame is a bit too tight for me, would have loved some more space around. Thanks for sharing.

Colourful. Nice image. I like the sharpness. A bigger sized image would have made for better viewing. Thanks for sharing.

Wow.. this angle is amazing. And I have fallen in love with your shots. Specially this one.

Thanks Vikram for that book. Co-incidently this same dfly is featured as 1st photo in that book.
