Shot this at Doddamakali on Sunday, it was a challenge to photograph as the eagle was high up on tree and we were in the coracle. I shot this when the eagle was just about to take off.
This is the first time I have ever sighted and photographed this bird.

Canon 40D, 100-400mm L IS USM, ISO 200, f 8, 1/400

Nicely captured. Its looks quite difficult to focus with the dense background and the height you have mentioned. A higher shutter speed would have helped to enhance the sharpness further. Liked the start up flying pose. Thanks for sharing..

A nice record shot. I wish you had got it wide in the open. It is a beautiful bird... THe pose is nice... :)
Good to see you using the 100-400 to its max capacity...

The image overall is dark. A positive Exposure compensation would have helped. I wish you could have got it in the clear. Thanks for sharing.
