My first visit to Tadoba & I was lucky to sight Tigers on couple of occasions, sharing image of a Tigress at Telia dam area, thanks to Atul Dhamankar for making all arrangements & spending time with me during my visit.

I am told that this is the same location where recently the tigress made a kill of sambar. Also this tigress probably is the same one however this needs to be re-confirmed by Atul.

This tigress was on the move hence could get her full image & it was late evening and light was fading...

A nice stealthy feel to the image. It would have been nice had you zoomed out more to include more of the environment.

Its good you got the eye in the clear. Could you manage to get the whole tiger in the frame? A little bit more brightness would enhance the image further. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to see more from Tadoba.

It is great that you had tiger sightings in Tadoba. You have managed to capture the image with the eye visible. The composition would have been stronger if you could have got only the head and shoulder of the tiger with lot of space in front. At the moment, our eyes move to the left along the contours of the body and we expect the entire body in the frame. I often end up in such situations, if I select the AF point on the right.

Look forward to more.

Cheers,

Great time with you in Tadoba.
Yes Praveen, this was the same tigress who made the male sambar kill before some days on telia dam area. Nice feel of tiger's habitat and how tiger move into grass. Another tigress we saw on Botezari road was the second small one, who accompanied with this on sambar kill.

Hi Praveen,

Great that you could sight a tiger.. I am sure it would have been an exciting moment. The grass in front does indeed lend a stealthy image as the tiger seems well camouflaged. Including the full tiger and brightness would definitely enhance the image

What time of the day did you take this picture ?

Thanks
Anu
