Shot this at Tadoba, this tigress walks dejected after its attempt to make a kill failed, it did try and pounce on a chital, the chital smartly escaped...

Canon 40D, 100-400mm L IS USM, ISO 200, f5.6, 1/320

Congratulations..!! Looking forward for many more photographs to come :).

Nice composition. I liked the low angle and the raised paw. A look backward from the tigress would have enhanced the photograph further.

Congratulations on the 300th post! It is always nice to celebrate with a tiger image as a milestone.

It would have been great if the tiger had managed to catch the cheetal. :D

The low angle is nice. A narrow aperture of f8 would have strengthened the image. That would have brought down the shutter speed to 1/160. So increasing the ISO to 400 would have helped. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with the above comments. A rear head turn would have been amazing... I like the dejected feel of this image after the failed attempt...
