Shot this vulture for the first time near Hasserghatta on Saturday - courtesy Sabyasachi & Mrudul:), however we hardly had time to shoot this and it flew away managed this shot somehow.

Canon 40D, 100-400mm L IS USM, ISO 250, f8, 1/200

Nice composition and eye contact. f8 has helped to get the whole body in focus. Its good that you included less of the post. You got it nice in hurry. Next time, you can take all your time, so will expect something great :).

The head turn is right. The composition is fine. I think there is a slight magenta cast. The Egyptian vultures were a bit scared that day. Earlier we had gone much closer to them. May be next time you can get them posing for you for a longer time.

But white balance seems to be bit odd for me

Nice image. The composition looks nice. I might prefer a bit more space at the bottom. Agree about the magenta cast.
