This is the next frame in the sequence of the Indian Moorhen Gallinula chloroups chasing. Nelapattu Bird sanctuary. Full frame image.

This is nice too. The previous one had nice symmetry. This however gives a diff feel. Shows one catching up and the other tiring... So speaks of the story... :)

I feel this image shows more action :). The water droplets on the moorhen to the left look lovely.
Any idea why they were chasing?

Abhishek,
I felt it was dominance behaviour. As this fellow even used to start chasing when the other one used to come within a radius of around 18-20 feet. These fellows may not be the most intelligent creatures around. As I found that when one of them started chasing, the other instead of moving directly in the opposite direction of the aggressor, moved at an angle, there by reducing the initial distance between itself and the attacker.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Lovely behaviour captured. The attacker seems quite aggressive in this image. The reflections are also nice. Thanks for sharing.
