A tough afternnon shot, for there was a small opening in the tree clusters, which was followed by an expanse of water and another opening on the bushes beyond the water body where the bird was perched. Add to this, it was constantly on the move and darting into the bushes.

F-13, 1/300, 400 ISO, APO 150-500 with 2X. The tripod this time was Wifey's shoulder :-) for there was no time to set up the pod!

Rajan,
I marvel at your ingenuity in using support systems. :D

It is always tough to catch a golden oriole. They are fast. So focussing has to be fast and precise. You need to catch it closer, without the 2x and with higher shutter speed. I am sure someday you would show us a close up. Good Luck.

Nice use of support system, Rajan !
Agree with SP on the use of TC . Also the compo could have been a bit off centered . The bird has come out well , though :)
