Shot this last Friday under low light, there was some confusion of the Tiger posted on Sunday. The one that is posted is not the female its male named Agastya, we saw 2 tigers and I got confused however last night I got it clarified. The info written on Tigress Gauri and her cubs is correct.

I am posting image of Agastya parent of the cubs and Gauri's mate. I believe that this male tiger is the oldest in Bandipur aged between 12-13 years. For past over one year he has been injured on quite a few occasions, even now he has minor injury, I will share one more image showing his injury.

Due to low light I had to bump ISO to 1600

Camera Model Canon EOS 40D, 100-400mm
Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/50
Av( Aperture Value ) 5.6
ISO 1600
Focal length 400mm
Full frame & Handhed

Congratulations on the 600th post. A nice milestone to celebrate with a tiger image from bandipur.

Nice moment capture. The pose is nice. Eye contact is good. Unfortunately, the shutter speed was too low. It would have been good to use a tripod or bean bag support and use the mirror lock up. It is really nice to see tigers on consecutive days in bandipur. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Congrats..!! 600 You are running fast :).

Liked the pose and the eye contact. The reflection adds interest. Due to the low shutter speed there is a slight movement. Agree about using tripod or a bean bag.

I had seen this tiger last time I went to Bandipur, but it vanished in the jungle so yet to photograph it. Hopefully soon. Thanks for sharing.
