Moorhen chase

[Sabyasachi Patra]

Indian Moorhen Gallinula chloropus. I had photographed these Indian Moorhens chasing each other. I thought of a wider composition and hence photographed it at 560mm instead of 800mm.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm F2.8 L IS USM, EF 1.4x II, ISO 800, f8, 1/3200, full frame image.

Lovely image, i liked the splash of water step by step type. however I feel you could have tried more than 560mm, you would have got more details of the Moorhen.

These splashes are interesting and has a part in the story. When the fellow chasing steps on one of these splashes, it sinks and the chase is over.
