Mother and Calf Series#2

It was wonderful to watch the calf play, both are at the salt pit, after a while the mother pushed the calf towards bushes. The tusk of the calf seem to develop fast and soon he will be a huge Tusker:thumbup:.

I shot this at Bandipur last weekend on Minister Gutti road.

Always a delight to see a calf. The tusks looks good, had not seen it before on a calf :). the vertical composition is nice. Some more sharpness would have enhanced the image further. Thanks for sharing.

I too do not remember seeing tusks on such a young calf ever before and they are quite long in proportion to his size wonder if it is a rare occurrence.....

I agree with Prashant. The tusks appear longer for its age. The vertical composition works. I wish the elephant had turned more towards you. It is good that the calf is facing you and is better lighted. Thanks for sharing.
