The composition is nice. A lower angle would have been nice. Wonder why the sharpness is low. Is this a big crop?

Nope, in fact a full frame. Maybe the file size is over 200K (this is what happens if we stay away from posting for loonng.... :-))

Hi Rajan,

Nice to see your images after a long time.

I liked the pose and the eye contact. Agree about the angle and sharpness. Do post a lower size image. Thanks.

Welcome back Rajan!

Haven't been to the ECR road in a while. How is Vedanthangal? The last I heard, there were unusually high number of cattle egrets about 6000 or so.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Hi Sabyasachi

Haven't been there for quite a while since i was away as well, but drove down to Pondy a few days ago and there are quite a few spots with a decent population of water birds along the way.

Mutukadd lake- Gulls, Terns, King Fishers, Herons
Kelambakkam lake - Painted Storks, Pelicans, Herons
Mudaliyar Kuppam - Herons, Egrets, Sandpipers, Terns, the sad news is all the flamingoes (1000's) have moved on . . .

Yes, i head Vedanthangal was full of Egrets, Darters and Cormorants. I'm planning to check it out sometime soon. Any news on Pulicat ? This normally is prime Flamingo season . . .

By the way, heard form the IIT folks, that, your friend, the albino black buck is doing fine . . . . ;-)

regards
Rajan
