Could this be a spotted cuckoo ? Found this one at our garden (Chennai)

40D, Canon 100-400, F5.6, 1/125, ISO 400, Full Frame, hand held

Hi Rajan,
I would reduce the highlights in the background on this one. Wish you had got the bird fully. Not sure about the ID but I'm inclined towards calling it a Female Asian Koel.

Agree with Bibhav on the highlights. Definitely a female Asian Koel.

This looks like a juvenile female Asian Koel.

Think cuckoo is not reported from Chennai recently. Perhaps they are there in the well wooded suburbs.
