Had heard of Deo ban being the largest Pine Forest in Asia.... saw this devastating sight.....

This is depressing. The place which was a hill station is now barren with harsh sunlight. The cut tree trunks point out that once there were fully grown pine trees here. Is there any action taken against this deforestation?
I think this image will rightly belong in the wilderness update section. Thanks for sharing.

Mrudul/Bibhav, thanks for your comments. Mrudul, no action is being undertaken. The place is outside the army controlled area and the difference between the area maintained by the army ( abs NO felling of trees) and the area outside that is startling... and extremely worrying.. the largest pine forest in Asia - losing pine trees due to lack of monitoring... !!
