Shot this a couple of days back in Deras inside Chandaka Reserve Forest. This guy was perched on a tree and on a distant tree was another (probably a mate).
This guy guy swooped on a small (1-1.5 foot) snake around 100 meters from the perch and then started skinning it and then flew to the other eagle and offered it to her. Was nice to observe this behaviour. Couldn't get a good shot of the kill as it was too far. Sharing one of the perch though. I was in near knee deep mud all the while. Wish I could have moved a bit more to the left.
