Since you cropped this image, I would have preferred you not clip the wing tips on the top. The dragonfly is facing away from you. Hence the eye contact would be low and appeal lesser. Maintaining a side on profile helps to get details evenly as the DOF covers the entire body. Also Frontal shots are good as they give details on the face. Do keep trying. Thanks for sharing.

Capturing the eyes is very important. Rarely an image works if the subject is facing away from the frame. It is also important to show the subject without body parts cut or too close to the frame. Ofcourse, you can intentionally cut body parts, if it goes with the composition. Do you have any other composition.

Nice image. Agree with the above suggestions. The details is the legs are nice. A higher DOF would have been good to get the wings and head in focus. Moving the camera if possible to the left would have helped. Thanks for sharing.
