The world above...

Tried to portray the world in which the Malabar Giant Squirrel (Ratufa Indica) lives. This image looked better in black and white. Although when I had clicked it i had dialed +1EV to get details in the darks. Comments and Critiques welcome...

+1 EV is not the solution for all situations.

The depth of field didn't look sufficient for f9. So I checked the Exif details. The aperture is f5.6. Your shutter speed of 1/400 indicates that you were anticipating action. The habitat would have been shown better with higher depth of field. So a narrow aperture like f9, f11 should have been used to bring the branches in focus.
