Hi All,

This is one of my close up on Night Heron.. It was sitting right on top of me while i was in the boat, had possible no option to avoid the branch. I guess its distracting a lot.. here for more comments and critique's

Lens Aperture: F / 5
Focal Length: 190 mm
F-Number: F / 5
Exposure Time: 1 / 3200 sec
ISO Speed: ISO 640
Metering Mode: Spot
Exposure Program: Aperture Priority
Lens Used: Sigma 70 - 300mm

The good thing about this image is the eye contact. The branch distracts a bit. Considering that you had the 70-300, it would have been good if you could have moved to the left and framed it with the branch on the right. If the present composition is a must, then you should have used a narrow aperture. In this case, you had sufficient shutter speed to tradeoff for narrower aperture. F11 would have been better.

I agree with Sabayasachi's views regarding moving to the Left. A bit more sharpening would be nice. Thanks for sharing.

It is bit difficult to photograph from the boat, as one cant move easily. Agree with the above comments. The perch and the eye contact are nice. A narrower aperture would ahve helped to get more details in the bird as well. Look forward to more.
