Hi all, one from the archives. Had a few hours one morning and came across this bunch on a small road. These small birds are typically found in flocks of 8-12n in the foothills.
Dehradun outskirts, May 2009.

Nice. Wish the three birds at the top of the frame were looking to the left of the frame. That would have strengthened the composition. Nothing you could have done though. A narrow aperture would have given you more depth of field.

Its quite difficult to photograph birds in a flock. Getting a pattern always enhances the composition further. You have photographed them nicely. A narrower aperture would have been great. Thanks for sharing.

I like the pose of the birds. When drawing the eyes from top to bottom, one gets a feel of transition of the pose just like a time lapse image. Good to see this bird. Seeing it for the first time. A very beautiful bird. Thanks for sharing.
