Nice shot again, the catch light in eye is great.

Lovely bird. The large crop has resulted in drop in quality. Wish you were closer to the bird. Where was this photographed? Thanks for sharing.

Nice eye contact. You could try moving closer to the bird by using a hide or moving very slowly towards it, either crawling or sitting. Waiting patiently also helps, as some times the bird might come and perch quite close to you. Look forward to more.

Thanks all,

this was photographed in the foothills in the outskirts of Dehradun.

I find the small birds are too restless and move around too much to really allow any stalking. most of the times one gets only a few seconds, in which I end up prioritising (trying to get the right) exposure/compo!:001_rolleyes: wish they let one get closer! Longer FL is a better bet, i guess, a Hide would mostly help only near the feeding ground?

The diagonal placement of the branches is nice, however the bird feels centred in the frame. A very cute little bird you have there. Thanks for sharing.

Amit, I love the colour of this bird especially the beak.
