The Indian Peacock is the country's National Bird. This beautiful bird is characterized by a distinctive crest and a very brightly colored and exquisitely decorated train. The train is probably the most noticeable part of the peacock's body.
The Indian peacock,Pavo cristatus (Linnaeus), is a colourful, swan-sized bird, with a fan-shaped crest of feathers, a white patch under the eye and a long, slender neck.

Where was this photographed? Including the full crest would have been better.

Carol von Linne is the father of binomial nomenclature. We often refer to it as scientific name. To popularise it he changed his name to Carolus linnaeus. As per this system the first name refers to the genus and the last name to the species. So the scientific name of peacock is pavo cristatus.

Including the crest would have been better. There is a bit of blur in the subject. Thanks for sharing.
