HI All,

Posting this kestrel taken some time in Jan 2010 at outskirts of Pune. Taken with Canon 7D, 300f4 IS + 1.4x tc, iso 400, f6.3 -1/3ev. Cropped a little from all sides. C & C are most welcome. Cloned couple of twigs here and there.

Love the wingspread and eye contact. What was the shutter speed? There are some sharpening artifacts in the head. In such situations, it is better to use a narrow aperture, as it becomes difficult to get the near wing as well as the head in focus. One stop higher ISO would have been good.

The image looks a bit yellow to me. So lowering the colour temperature during post processing will strengthen the image. Overall, looks nice.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

The low angle and the eye contact is nice. I would have liked some more space all around to display the habitat. The wing spread is interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful image Amit, the details are excellent and the wing spread has come out well. The frame is bit tight for me
Overall a great shot
