It was one of those days in Kabini, when the sightings were nothing rare. It was 6:10 PM and the park closes by 6:30. We were motoring along at a fair clip when this Leopard came into full view in one of the forest roads. There was a female in the bushes and his attention was frozen on her, hardly even glancing at us, though we were just about 20 meters away. If you notice the wounds on his back, he has apparently had a fight.
Light was extremely low and we could just manage a few shots at low shutter speeds (1/15). The tripods were packed and i had to use the jeep railing as a rest.
Canon 400D, Canon 70-300, F 5.6, 1/15, ISO 1600, hand held (rested on rails)
regards
Rajan
