Nice shot. Agree about the need for more space. There are other quails around, like one at the bottom left and another visible just below the subject's beak. Including them with a high-enough DOF would have made a better image in my opinion.

Nice eye contact. The sitting pose is nice. Look forward to more.

I like the eye contact. The image stands out as the background has been blurred. However, the lack of details in the image also comes into focus. A wider composition would have been better, as the eye now goes to the blurred distractions at left top portion near the rule of thirds position.

Nice capture, space again seems to be an issue.

Visualize the composition and then try shooting, though we wont have the luxury always while shooting wildlife :), try when you can, so the issues with space around should be sorted.
