The flash has overpowered the image. I am not sure if your camera has the facility to give a negative exposure compensation. A negative exposure compensation to your image would have made it a bit darker, so the background would have become less prominent and the white portions would not have got overexposed. Keep on experimenting. Thanks for sharing.

The diagonal composition is nice. The leaves in the background are a bit distracting and take the attention away from the spider. Agree with Sabyasachi about making the BG darker. Look forward to more.

It looks like a Signature Spider (Argiope anasuja) - This spider holds its legs together in pairs. You can see 4 pairs to disguise as a four legged creature. Also you can notice the four zig zag stripes in the web that looks like a signature.
