I would remove the dark borders for they seem to blend into the image at the bottom giving a false sense of space. :)

The composition is nice. I would have underexposed the image while capturing the way I wanted, instead of increasing the black point later. The left top corner is a bit bright. Agree removing the thick black borders would be good. Thanks for sharing.
